Exciting news for Radio Free regulars. TONIGHT sees the start of a new show on MKTV. Here's how it works:
Jawad Siddiqui last night generously agreed with SkbZ to GIVE a weekly 4 HOUR slot to the hard working local music community, to be run by RadioFree-MK. The show starts tonight at half past midnight, until around 6 in the morning and tonight will be playing out test sounds of a breakbeat nature.
In the playlist tonight will be the Ruffradio Project, Root Cause drum and bass, house from D-Vibe and Kidlogic, and dub from MK Warrior.
Next week, we will be broadcasting live from Springfest, and after that we'll have a more rounded selection of local bands and producers in place

"This is exactly the sort of platform Radio Free have been asked for and Mr Siddiqui at MKTV and the technical team at Junction13 have been amazing throughout the whole process, which was completed easily this morning." skbz said, adding "This is a real bonus for the local music scene, who we hope will continue to support the Free MK and MKTV projects with as much energy and enthusiasm as our other endeavours.
Bands, musicians, producers and deejays in the area can look forward to solid and unbiased representation of the local music scene each and every week. Huge thanks to Jawad for having the confidence to agree to this. We now need to spend energy ensuring we engage the local communities as we have done successfully before" The four hour programme will drag in all the creative elements from MK's thriving Internet based music scene, including Musatronic & Acid TV and hopefully large elements of parties and gigs put on around the catchment area.
